North American Devon Association
Annual Meeting

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

The details are posted on the web and we hope you’ll make plans right now to attend our annual conference this fall.

The dates are October 17th through the 19th and the locale is right outside Newport, Rhode Island.
The committee has not only managed to increase the informational component of the meeting but actually cut the registration fee considerably.  It’s just $125 and your spouse is just $50 more.  Guests are only $75.

There’ll be plenty of discussion of Devon and grass, of course, and also a lengthy session devoted to how to make your Devon “pay”.  That was a topic many suggested after our last meeting.

Another suggestion was to allow more time for conversation and simply looking at outstanding animals.  So we’ve combined the two with a BBQ and get-together just before the Select Sale at the Washington county fairgrounds.  (Incidentally, you have only until August 17th to consign one or more of your females to this sale.)

The highlight of the weekend will be a great Field Day at historic Watson Farm…right on the water on an island off Newport.  It is a picturesque spot with some outstanding Devon.  I’ll “hold forth” on a variety of subjects and answer your questions; there’ll be a serious pasture walk among some top Devon; a judging contest where you can test your eye against an expert (not me) and food and fun.  Best of all, you’ll hear how Don and Heather Minto run their farm and make it pay!

So check the details on our website---www.northamericandevon.com---and make your plans now.  Last year’s meeting literally sold out and you don’t want that to happen to you.

Blessings and see you in October!
