The ultimate in 30 years of selection for genetics & breeding

 Rocky Marciano>The Rock
Rocky Marciano was born September 15th, 2006. His dam is one of the greatDevon cows I imported from Ken McDowell’s herd in New Zealand. Rocky’s mother is a daughter of the great 688 bull. She was bred to her half brother, bull 93 (son of 688) to produce Rocky.

Being the product of a brother - sister mating, Rocky eliminates almost all of the heterosis in his genetic make up.   He breeds true. Rocky is heterosis free, genetically, and he is not a product of out-crossing.  There is much more growth potential in his progeny (extra pounds of beef) than would be in the out-crossed bulls. The great 688 blood lines producing half blood steers have been laboratory tested for tenderness and to date not one of the half blood steers have failed the test for tenderness. All the 688 blood lines have tested positive for A2 milk. There could be a correlation between the A2 milk, tenderness, enzymes, proteins, fats and quality of meat and milk.
Rocky Marciano is a bull you can breed his daughters to and in two generations.  In doing so, you would be creating your own herd bulls from your best cows. We have line-bred the 688 line of females in the neighborhood of 200 times and to my knowledge there has not been one structural, genetic or production defect that has demanded attention.

Rocky is 51 inches at the hip at 3 year years and has a weight of 1400 pound,

Rocky, just like all other 688 bull lines, has proven himself to produce very tender, fine textured meat with his very high genetic tenderness score.

Line Bred Bulls are the most consistent in all traits and categories of production and performance. Rocky has a large gaskin muscle=large loin, large bicep= large loin.

Do you want to improve reproduction in your herd and produce your own herd bulls and above average carcass yield? Rocky is the bull for that position, look at his scrotal size and shape, sperm count, quality, morphology and forward motion, he was born to be a herd changer and impregnate cows.

Scrotal 40 cm.
Testicle length, Right 7 inches & left 7 inches, He has a near perfect scrotal
Count 3.33 billion sperm cells per cc of seminal fluid.
Live count 85%.
Abnormal, primary & secondary, total 8%.

1200 straws per collection, semen volume like this requires high hormone & testosterone production.
Rocky is a rare bull, don’t miss the opportunity of a lifetime to improve the reproduction in your replacements and herd and produce guaranteed tender beef with every calf while you upgrade.
Take a look at Rocky’s linear measuring numbers. His story is in genetics, testosterone, masculinity and libido. He was born to impregnate cows because of what he is -  genetic, selection and management! Rocky is what producing grass genetics and grass-fed beef is all about.
